At Beach Avenue Animal Hospital we have the ability to handle a wide variety of medical conditions. We can perform many diagnostic procedures in-house, which means we can often give you immediate answers and start your pet’s treatment immediately. Sometimes, your pet may require hospitalization and further diagnostic tests, and we will send provide the referral for you and your pet.
MEDICAL ASSESSMENT
The first step to helping your pet is a medical assessment.
DENTISTRY
According to the American Veterinary Dental Society, more than 80% of dogs and 70% of cats have dental disease by the age of 3. Dental (or periodontal) disease is the most frequently diagnosed health problem in pets.
RADIOLOGY (X-RAYS)
X-rays are a routine way to help identify the cause of a problem, rule out possible problems, and provide possible causes.

DERMATOLOGY (SKIN)
Skin problems are common in dogs and cats, and these issues should be addressed promptly.
ENDOSCOPY
This procedure allows a veterinarian to see inside a pet’s body and, when necessary, take biopsies without having to perform surgery

It is highly important that we detect and treat glaucoma and problems relating to pressure in the eye as soon as possible.
